Now I add Tim Hampton to that short list of candidates I respect and admire for having the courage to do what is right over what the political establishment in Washington DC wants. From what I can tell, Tim Hampton is the 2nd congressional candidate in America and, as a candidate for the Libertarian Party, he’s the first 3rd Party candidate in America to sign the Patriot Pledge.

It takes a certain amount of courage to pledge to your constituents that, if elected, you’ll stop doing things in Washington the way Washington wants them to be done. A pledge such as this becomes a part of the public record. It provides another tool in which voters can hold their elected officials accountable. And, since accountability is something that’s been lacking in Mississippi’s 4th District and throughout America’s political system for quite some time – any candidate that steps forward and asks us to hold him or her accountable has my support.

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.

The video below has been posted on FireGeneTaylor.com before. I just wanted to post it again in celebration of Constitution Day and in remembrance of the republic given to us to protect. Unfortunately, we’ve allowed The United States of America to become some sort of mob-rule democracy.

Congressman Gene Taylor would have you believe that Article 1, Section 8 of the US Constitution gives him and his far-left Democrat buddies in Congress the right to willy-nilly make any law they feel like making – as if every ounce of our lives and every single activity could become regulated with the passing of new legislation. In observance of Constitution Day, take a second to contact Gene Taylor and remind him that America is still a republic despite his arrogant assertion that the Constitution grants him the power to make any and all laws to satisfy the mob! Remind him of his oath to support and defend the Constitution.

This is important to keep in mind in 2010 when you go to the polls to choose a “D” or a “R”. You can either vote for Gene Taylor to keep the government unchecked and out of balance (because he voted to give the far-left Democrats like Barney Frank and Nancy Pelosi power-positions over legislation), OR, you can choose a “R” to restore the checks and balances our Constitution provides and save the Republic.

UNDERSTAND THAT GENE TAYLOR IS PART OF THE PROBLEM!!! IT’S OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO VOTE GENE TAYLOR OUT OF OFFICE IN 2010!!!
