Time to Act
Time to Act
As of late I have become increasingly concerned with the direction our country has taken. I have thought a lot about the future of our children and grandchildren. The socialistic path our country is on causes me much fear. The country that I grew up in is disappearing before my eyes. The thought of Cap and Trade, Socialized medicine, the right to keep and bear arms & many other issues going by the wayside is enough to make my blood boil. I grew up knowing that if a person works hard at being the best they could be a good living was in store. This is not true anymore the elite class that works for the Federal Government (Politburo) is the only group of people exempt from the healthcare system that the government is trying to force on us. I have worked in the energy industry for thirty years and understand that the United States has more available energy than any other country on earth. This agenda is not about healthcare, clean air and water or controlling crime, it about control of the American people. The people in Washington want control of everything in our day to day life. The only control that we have left is the ballot box, and there are forces trying to change that right. I have voted for Gene Taylor many times but as of late he has made me question the sanity of my vote. He has become entrenched with Nancy Pelosi and the control freaks in Washington. I feel that he no longer has the 4th district of Mississippi in the forefront his agenda.
Last weekend I went to pay my respects to a man from the “Greatest Generation” a WWII vet and when I looked the frail 91 year old body I thought of all that his generation had done for freedom and our way of life. Then I looked at the brand new American flag neatly folded laying next to him and thought that not only should I look out for the future but that the “Greatest Generation” demands that we uphold the ideals that they stood for. Our country is in grave danger and I don’t have the answers but am willing to do whatever I can to stop this insanity. We must all call our Congressmen and Senators on every issue is necessary to put a stop to this steamroller. To repeat a quote I once heard “People it’s time we DID something”.

Seen any "2010 candidate" or FireGeneTaylor.com signs or stickers around Mississippi's 4th district?
Gene Taylor elected Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House. That puts her 3rd in line to be our President.
Gene Taylor elected Barney Frank as Chairman of the Financial Services committee, even after the failure and bailout of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac cost taxpayers billions and billions of dollars.
Gene Taylor was given the chance to investigate Charlie Rangel for tax evasion and remove him from his powerful position as Chairman of the House Ways and Means committee, Gene Taylor sided with the rest of the Democrats and voted NOT to investigate Charlie Rangel.
I feel the same way you do. How do you stop people from voting themselves more treasure from the bankrupt U.S. treasure chest? How do you stop politicians from playing the ‘class envy’ card in a society where even the poor are often the most obese? How do you stop Washington from printing more and more money which only serves wal-street and washington insiders?
And how do you get your so-called elected represenative to stand up for you even when it is not popular to do so. Time for a change!!
The only option is the ballot. Gene has had a free ride for a long time. I think the free ride is over.
