Video: Gene Taylor Cast His Vote In Support Of Nancy Pelosi
…Yes, Gene Taylor really did vote for Nancy Pelosi for Speaker of the House.
A few days ago I made a promise to a Conservative Freshman at Jones County Junior College (and supporter of Gene Taylor) that I’d dig up the video of Gene Taylor casting his vote (your vote, my vote, our vote) in support of Nancy Pelosi for Speaker of the House. He refused to believe our Congressman would support Nancy Pelosi, an outspooken critic of his own constituents.
Nancy Pelosi, Democrat from San Francisco (pro-abortion, anti-gun rights, pro-big government, pro-socialized health care, pro-cap and trade, enemy of conservative free speech, etc), was elected Speaker of the House over John Boehner, one of the most Conservative members in Congress, by a vote of 255-174.
So what does the Speaker of the House do anyway? From Nancy Pelosi’s Speaker.gov website:
As specified in the rules and customs of the House, responsibilities of the Speaker include:
- Calling the House to order.
- Administering the oath of office to House Members.
- Presiding over debate, recognizing Members to speak on the floor, and preserving order; or delegating that power to another Member of Congress.
- Setting the legislative agenda. (ramming huge socialist legislation down your throat with no time for debate)
- Leading the appointment process for the chairs of the various committees and subcommittees in the House, including conference committees which negotiate final versions of legislation.
The Speaker is also second in the line of succession to the presidency after the Vice President under the Presidential Succession Act of 1947.
Right now we have the most radical socialist White House administration this country has ever seen; we have a long line of far-left, socialist legislation steadily coming down the pipeline that will fundamentally change America; we have a mainstream press that is drunk on progressive kool-aid; and we have the most powerful members of Congress, our public servants and “defenders” of the Constitution, calling concerned citizens Nazi’s, Mobsters, and Extremists when we get fed up with the direction our country is going in.
Aside from the next election and the voice of the American people, the system of checks and balances of our fragile Republic is almost completely gone.
BUT… when Gene Taylor was given the opportunity to cast his vote to restore an ounce of sanity to the legislative process and apply the brakes to the socialism headed our way, he decided to fall in line with Barney Frank, Henry Waxman, Charlie Rangel, and the other far-left liberal career politicians and cast his vote for Nancy Pelosi to lead the most progressive Congress in our Nation’s history.
Shame on you Gene Taylor for deciding that what’s best for America is having Nancy Pelosi lead Congress and orchestrate the legislative process. Here’s the disgusting video…

(8 votes, average: 4.50 out of 5)
Seen any "2010 candidate" or FireGeneTaylor.com signs or stickers around Mississippi's 4th district?
Gene Taylor elected Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House. That puts her 3rd in line to be our President.
Gene Taylor elected Barney Frank as Chairman of the Financial Services committee, even after the failure and bailout of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac cost taxpayers billions and billions of dollars.
Gene Taylor was given the chance to investigate Charlie Rangel for tax evasion and remove him from his powerful position as Chairman of the House Ways and Means committee, Gene Taylor sided with the rest of the Democrats and voted NOT to investigate Charlie Rangel.
Well there you go… great job Lavelle on digging up this video… the proof is in the pudding or whatever.
Darn shame this guy voted for her… finally we get to see why he’s always ran as a Democrat. It’s all clear now. Taylor is a big Socialist…always has been. He votes against the big bills that folks are actually watching (like cap & trade, economic stimululus) but on all the little less noticed stuff… it’s big government all the way. I can’t wait to see what Taylor does next month when his master (Pelosi) lays the law down to him on universal healthcare….
Oh the B.S. is gonna get DEEP BABY!!!!
The wake up is happening. Educate yourself before the next and every vote, even the local ones. We can’t just take back half of the country; we have to take it all back. Leave no elected position un-researched, look at every person running to make sure that they believe the constitution is not just and old piece of paper, but the founding document that all federal and state regulations have to be based on. There is no longer an un-important or useless vote. They all count and we all need to cast ours and then drag our friends kicking and screaming to the polls with us.
Sounds good… I can’t wait to get rid of that UN-constitutional Social Security Program…LOL
Gene Taylor believes the Constitution is more than just an old piece of paper. Like He-Man’s super powers are derived from the power of Grayskull when he “held aloft his magic sword“, the Constitution gives Gene Taylor the power to make all laws – not just certain laws.
It must be an incredible feeling to think that the purpose of the Constitution isn’t to “protect” the freedom and liberty of the people, but instead it gives the government super-duper powers to pass ever-encroaching laws that “rob” the people of their freedom and liberties.
nancy p and gene t, sounds pretty good..Continue to hang it around gene’s neck. Time for him to go back to box selling. Need a good Conservative from the coast to step up in a few weeks if not b4.
