Gene Taylor Votes With Barney Frank 82% Of The Time

Barney Frank, huge supporter of single-payer health care through a “good” public option (video), is easily one of Congresses most out-spoken proponents of far left, socialist legislation. He has spent his 28 year career building influence among his colleagues and has become one of the most powerful members of Congress.
Barney Frank’s 4th district of Massachusetts and the 4th district of Mississippi couldn’t be any further from one another on the political spectrum (which makes me wonder why the green circle and the orange circle almost completely overlap one another… hmmm.)
Naturally, a person from Mississippi’s 4th District, one of the most conservative districts in America, would think that their representative in Congress would voraciously oppose a Congress member such as Barney Frank.
In fact, according to OpenCongress.org, Gene Taylor votes with Barney Frank 82% of the time! He also votes with Nancy Pelosi 71% of the time! Remember, GovTrack.us labels Gene Taylor a “follower”. On the other hand, they label Barney Frank and Nancy Pelosi a “leader”. And, he voted for Nancy Pelosi for Speaker of the House as well as Barney Frank for Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee.
It’s crystal clear who Gene Taylor follows and the ideology he supports. How can we expect to be represented when our congressman supports far-left liberal Democrats like Barney Frank and Nancy Pelosi?
How long will south Mississippians let this continue? 2010? 2012? 2014? Longer?

(8 votes, average: 4.00 out of 5)
Seen any "2010 candidate" or FireGeneTaylor.com signs or stickers around Mississippi's 4th district?
Gene Taylor elected Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House. That puts her 3rd in line to be our President.
Gene Taylor elected Barney Frank as Chairman of the Financial Services committee, even after the failure and bailout of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac cost taxpayers billions and billions of dollars.
Gene Taylor was given the chance to investigate Charlie Rangel for tax evasion and remove him from his powerful position as Chairman of the House Ways and Means committee, Gene Taylor sided with the rest of the Democrats and voted NOT to investigate Charlie Rangel.
[...] there is a possible cure for Gene Taylor. Maybe he and his voting buddy, Barney Frank, can catch a Boston Red Sox game together. I’m sure Barney’s people can make a phone [...]
Congressman Taylor simply rides the “gravy wagon”. When needing assistance following Katrina, I contacted Congressman Taylor’s office–did not get a return call. During a town hall mtg., I asked him if he was intending to vote for raising the deficit ceiling. He replied that he has voted to raise the ceiling deficit (while serving as congressman) under all of the presidents–republicans and democrats. Congressman Taylor has flown under the radar “way too long.” South MS needs an effective, influential, conservative representative that reflects the conservatism embedded in his district. He does not appear to be able to justify his time or salary by his productivity…or lack of it.
