Gene Taylor Goes To WAR In Washington
The Health Care Insurance “Reform” Bill is coming down to the wire. Some of the talking heads on tv say that Congress will try to shove it through before the upcoming Massachusetts Senate election, or before the election is certified.
Last Tuesday night House Democrats met with Senate Democrats to discuss the Health Care Bill. It would seem to me like the perfect opportunity for Gene Taylor to convey the frustration of his constituents… maybe even stomp his feet and raise a little hell on our behalf?
So, where was Congressman Gene Taylor during this meeting – laying out his argument against it? Possibly trying to convince a few Democrats to vote no?
Heck no! WAR’s in town on their “The Family Stone” tour and Gene Taylor has tickets!
Our Congressman was spotted skipping out on the Health Care discussion between House Democrats and Senate Democrats to go shake his leg at a WAR concert. Where are his priorities? Not in Mississippi.
Here’s a WAR classic for your listening pleasure. “All Gene’s friend’s know the low rider…”

From NewsJunkiePost.com:
Discouraged House Democrats are meeting to discuss health care negotiations with the Senate. But at least two members will be absent from that meeting.
As members left the House chamber for the first and last vote of the day to bring in the second session of the 111th Congress, I chatted with Representative David Wu (D-OR) about the unimportant issue of brutally long plane flights. (I just took one last month.)
As we spoke, out walked a casually dressed Representative Gene Taylor (D- Miss). He and Rep. Wu had plans to see WAR, the legendary long-running funk band most popular in the 1970s, at the Birchmere in Northern Virginia this evening. Rep. Wu told me about their plans and Rep. Taylor chimed in. Taylor said he would rather go see WAR than go to a Democratic Caucus meeting “to be persuaded to vote for a bill I’m not going to support.”
Gene Taylor has no intention of fighting against ObamaCare on our behalf. He’ll simply vote “no” and watch his own party shove it down our throat. We need a fighter to represent us in Washington – sitting quietly in the corner is no longer enough.

Seen any "2010 candidate" or FireGeneTaylor.com signs or stickers around Mississippi's 4th district?
Gene Taylor elected Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House. That puts her 3rd in line to be our President.
Gene Taylor elected Barney Frank as Chairman of the Financial Services committee, even after the failure and bailout of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac cost taxpayers billions and billions of dollars.
Gene Taylor was given the chance to investigate Charlie Rangel for tax evasion and remove him from his powerful position as Chairman of the House Ways and Means committee, Gene Taylor sided with the rest of the Democrats and voted NOT to investigate Charlie Rangel.
Why is he still in office? He has forgotten what his job is!! He isn’t being paid to go to concerts!! He is being paid (a good salary with good benefits and perks) to represent us…the people of South Mississippi. And when he is questioned about it…he get defensive (like how dare we) and arrogant. There was a time when he was a good Congressman. But he has been in his position too long and it’s time for him to go. This makes me sick!!!!!!
This is the kind of scandal that should be posted all over. It makes me angry that he is that kind of a worker. You know the one that pretends to work but actually does nothing.
Vote Joe Tegerdine 2010!
Taylor has lost his judgment. He should have been fighting for our senior citizens and the unborn. But he showed us his priority is in entertainment and relaxing in the face of critical negotiations. I would like to see him retire this year so he can spend more time going to concerts not at the expense of America’s future.
Joe Tegerdine for Congress…PLEASE
Holy cow! Gene not doing what he is supposed to do? I cannot believe it! Obviously a no vote is not good enough, we want an advocate and a REPRESENTATIVE!!!!!
He states the cost blah blah…that is not the only cost we need to worry about the REAL cost is our FREEDOM and LIBERTY! WAKE UP SOUTH MISSISSIPPI Vote for Joe Tegerdine
[...] if Gene Taylor had spent more time doing his job representing us and attending congressional healthcare discussions instead of shaking a leg at rock concerts, he might have had a better understanding of what was going on in Congress and he wouldn’t [...]
