Gene Taylor Is Asked About FireGeneTaylor.com On MPB
Gene Taylor was on MPB’s Mississippi Edition Tuesday morning and was asked about a new website called “Fire Gene Taylor” and the website’s attempt to “lump” him in with liberal Democrats and the mention of his staff salary.
The host of the show makes it sound like the FGT is complaining about staff salaries. It’s not. Probably a mistake on MPB’s part. FGT just points out how much we’re paying for representation that we’re not getting. It says nothing about his staff members. I’d probably agree with Gene that they’re doing a fine job. They just need a new boss.
He mentions how hard he worked after Katrina (no mention of any hard work or accomplishments in the 16 years prior to Katrina), he supports the troops, he’s for a strong national defense, he’s conservative, blah, blah, blah. In reality we can get all that with any conservative. The difference is that with any other conservative we wouldn’t have to put up with our representative supporting folks like Nancy Pelosi to lead Congress.
He says he voted for Pelosi because she was with the people of South Mississippi and his effort to socialize wind/flood insurance and John Boehner was against it (because it raises the premiums for everyone in the country to make up for the folks that want to live in coastal areas). In reality, he voted for Pelosi, twice, and she hasn’t done squat for him. He dealt us out to the devil and now she’s having her way in our House.
20 years in Congress and Gene Taylor doesn’t have an ounce of clout with anyone. Wake up Mississippi. Gene Taylor is getting a free ride!

Seen any "2010 candidate" or FireGeneTaylor.com signs or stickers around Mississippi's 4th district?
Gene Taylor elected Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House. That puts her 3rd in line to be our President.
Gene Taylor elected Barney Frank as Chairman of the Financial Services committee, even after the failure and bailout of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac cost taxpayers billions and billions of dollars.
Gene Taylor was given the chance to investigate Charlie Rangel for tax evasion and remove him from his powerful position as Chairman of the House Ways and Means committee, Gene Taylor sided with the rest of the Democrats and voted NOT to investigate Charlie Rangel.
Gene is a Typical Politician, good ole boy in a bad way
